gSyncit

gSyncit is a nice little utility for syncing your Outlook calendar with Google. It installs on your desktop and runs on a configured schedule. This worked well for us, although there are some tricks to get two-way syncing to work without pop-ups. Outlook permissions may prevent you from automatically reading or writing certain events. We found a utility called Clickyes Pro that seemed to get around the "..trying to access Outlook" dialog. Not a bad option for Google calendar syncing!

  • I keep getting the error message below while using gSyncit even though I have removed the offending event from both my google and outlook calendars. What else do I need to do? Thanks.

Error = g:originalEvent [2008-05-04 00:00:00] does NOT correspond to an instance of the recurring event.

  • You might need to completely uninstall gSyncIT and try setting it up from scratch again. We've seen similar issues which this fixed (but not exactly the same).

  • One way I could solve my problem is simply changing my sync options to dates after the problem date, but gSyncit is not allowing me to make a change in the date range. Why not?
